Frequently Asked Questions
-
What do I do with my bottles when I get them home?
Leave your wine standing upright in the boxes for approximately 7 days. This will allow any bubbles and pressurized air to escape from the bottles. After about a week has passed, you can now store your wine on its side, either on a wine rack or in boxes. By storing wine on its side, it prevents the cork from drying out and also causes it to expand to form a good seal for aging.

How long should I age my wine?
Every wine ages differently, and everyone's taste is slightly different too so it typically becomes a matter of personal preference.
Here’s a guideline of MINIMUM aging durations to help guide your taste buds.
Heritage Estates: 2 weeks
Cru International: 2 months
Cru Select: 3 months
En Primeur / Winery Series & RQ: 4 months
Fruit wines: Enjoy immediately as Fruit wines will lose their fresh fruity taste if kept for over a year.

What are the little particles floating in my wine?
Something floating in your wine can be alarming but not to worry, more times than not it’s wine “diamonds”. Small, hard crystals can occur in higher-level wines, due to a higher level of tartaric acid. During aging acid can occasionally form crystals in wine. Tartaric crystals, also known as wine diamonds, are completely harmless. However, they can simply be removed by decanting your wine and using a coffee filter to remove any remaining crystals from the bottom of your bottle.
